Welcome to Mr. Good Search!!

Welcome to Mr. Good Search! I'm glad you could stop by for a fill 'er up and git 'er done!!!! We're glad you're here. What is Mr. Good Search? Mr. Good Search is a directory of many exciting web pages made to honor our Lord! There is Christian commentary, beautiful pictures, and tons of song lyrics to praise God! The Bible tells us to "Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord." And that's what you'll find here-verses from the pslams, hymns, and spirituals too! While some of the familiar standard hymns are here, what makes this site unique is that it contains many Bible songs that are, as of September 2006, nowhere else to be found on the web! Interestingly, the songs i loved best and stuck in my head the most growing up were the ones i wanted to include in this site-and when i went to verify the lyrics, i checked many search engines with many exact queries-and they weren't there! I am happy to say, with all the glory going to God, this is the first site to contain them at present. The ones that were to be found were just quotes and parts, alternate versions, or hiding under a bushel-more accuratley pop up ad's and jammed up sites. I believe these songs are important because they truly glofiy God in fun and simple terms-something growing more and more scarce in today's marketplace for music! I want them to be preserved here on the web for easy access and reading, for those who remember them and for the newer generations to enjoy. With all the diverse offerings on the internet and some songs being featured throusands of times, i don't know why some have all but disappeared into the cyber sunset. I suppose those who remember them don't have the time/ and or resources (for example, a knowledge of web design) to display them, or there just isn't enough interest. I give God all the glory, to lead me to my interest in unusual, obscure songs, so they will not be forgotten.

Another interesting story. About 15 years ago, while visiting cousins, i had brought my kid's tape player and a tape. One of the boys got the tapes switched, and i accidently brought home their tape instead of mine. This was a real blessing-the cassette tape was filled with lots of fun Bible songs, that i, til THIS DAY would NEVER have heard ANYWHERE ELSE if it had not been for the mix up. The Lord works in mysterious ways. Alot of these songs are now here for you to enjoy. Thanx Nathan :)

One more thing. I picked out alot of specialty fonts for the pages. Some of you may not have them installed on your computer, and if you don't, they will show up as standard text. If you are interested, you can download them for yourself for free from another site. Just right-click the page you are viewing and click "View Source". You can find that particular font name under font face=, near the top.

I hope you enjoy reading these pages as much as i did making them. Most of the songs are explicitly Christian, while some have a postive message. More folk songs and fun songs will be coming in the future for sing along time. While many of these are kids songs, they are really for anybody. I like them just as much as any adult song. In fact, it's been reported that more adults are acutually fans of the song "Jesus Loves Me" than are kids! The word of God in a simple form is not just for kids! The word of God is ageless!!

I strongly recommed that you share the things from these pages with your loved ones, especially the younger set. If you are looking to build a good, traditional Christian foundation with the things you remember as a kid, look no furthur. For example, when i was collecting information and did a search for "children's prayers", the first page of the search engine brought up a site that featured kiddie prayers of Hindu, Muslim, Taoist, Pagan, Unitarian, and even Buddhist origin! Excuse me, *how* could i forget to clarify that i was looking for Christian prayers! Let's get back to the basics of Christianity, umm-k?

So, if you're sitting around one night and have nothing to do, or nothing better to do than get in a funk, try coming here instead. Spend time in God's house right in your own home. Make your computer screen your steeple. Make your comfy chair your pew. Make your mouse your hymnbook. See how God can speak to your soul. Heck, it sure beats the next beer.

-Happy Surfing!-
