New Chrsitians have many questions regarding the specifics of Chrsitianity and how a Christian should live. This handbook will tell you all the basics you need to get started in your walk with Christ! Part 1:UNIVERSAL CHRISTIAN BELIEFS The following are 8 truths that absolutely ALL true Christians worldwide believe. If a Chrsitian does not believe even one of these truths, then they are seriously misguided or not a Chrsitian. 1)That God is a Trinity, 1 God exsisting in 3 distinct parts-Father, Son, and Holy Ghost (or Holy Spirit) 2)Heaven and all its occupants-The Godhead, angles, and believers, are real and live in a literal and perfect paradise. 3)Hell and all its occupants-the devil, his angels (demons) and the damned are real and live in a literal place of torture. 4)While some parts are harder to understand than others and require study, the whole Bible is true and unchanging. 5)That God is a God of love, perfection, infinite in all ways, created us in his image, created the world (Creationism),and every life filled thing that was and is to come. 6)That no good work(s) can earn us our salvation and no sin(s) can take it away from us. 7)A loving God sends NO ONE to hell unless they CHOOSE to go. All the damned are there by their own stubborn rejection of his love and salvation while on earth. 8)Christianity is the only true religion that ever was, there is only one way to Jesus Christ. PART 2: CHRISTIAN LIVES 9)No Christian is perfect and they still sin, they just try not to make a habit or lifestyle of it. 10)There are many false teachers and not everybody (or every church!) who says they are Christian is. A true Christin walk will be demonstrated thru the years in a godly life. 11)That a godly walk consists of imitating Christ's love in everything, and applying the principles and guidelines of the Bible, as our talents and individual strengths allow, and intepreting the verses and meanings to the best of out ability thru church, Bible studies, and as individuals. 12)That it is our duty as Christians, to witness the wonderful Christian message to the world, in any of the thousands of ways & places we are called or are able, whether silently or aloud. 13)There is 1 God, and praying to Mother Mary or the Saints is blasphemous because they were only human. Most Christians agree that the Catholic church as a whole is false. 14)Individual opinions and denominations exsist amoung true Christians, and that's fine, as long as the beliefs don't take away from the message of salvation or the deity or love of Christ. 15)That the name of Christ often comes under a guise, and many cults and false teachings exsist in the name of Christianity-whether thru orginazations, TV shows, books, or ideaologies. On another note, some true Christians, whether out of ignorance or convinence, belong to false Christians sects or follow their teachings. 16)The question of loosing one's faith is a subject of hot debate among Christians. A sincere convert has no reason to be plucked out of his hand, on the other hand, to reject him when one claims to believe is a slap in his face. Interestingly, the majority who have fallen away from their "faith" are of Catholic or Pentecostal backgrounds.
