Do you know the history of Sunday School....?
Sunday school was begun in the late 1700's in England for inner city children who might otherwise not hear about God. The Sunday school structure also aimed at helping to keep the children out of michief, providing routine and the teaching of basic manners. In addition, Bible School, which is kinda like Sunday School in summer, was begun by a lady in Illinois in 1894, who felt she didn't have enough time to teach the Bible thoroughly in weekly Sunday School classes alone. Her first Bible school had 40 kids and lasted for 4 weeks! They used a local school and park for the facilities. These days, every one from tiny toddlers to seniors attend Sunday School at their churches, some in the morning, some at night,-the kids sing play and learn about Jesus, while they adults have special courses and areas of study.

The Beatitudes
